In June 2008, Paul and Hether took a cruise to Alaska on Celebrity Cruise Line's Infinity. This was our 25th anniversary celebration. We had a wonderful trip; we hope you enjoy the photos.

▼  We've been on a number of cruise ships, but this is the first we could drive to. We parked across the street from the Bell Street Pier in Seattle, and walked aboard. Hether has a big smile, probably because we left the kids behind.

▼  Mustering is a tedious requirement at the start of every cruise. Life jackets are not becoming to most people.

▼  As we left Seattle in our wake, we also left the worst weather of the trip

▼  Hether still has a big smile. Other cruise ships are a frequent sight.

▼  Our cabin was very nice, except for the artwork. It looked like a screen shot of a bad video card in a computer.

▼  The second day of the cruise was at sea, a formal dinner night.

▼  Our ship passed by the fishing boat Joy as we approached Sitka. I guess Joy is a more appropriate name than Beautiful.

▼  Beautiful would not be inappropriate for Sitka, however.

▼  Sitka was the only port where we tendered in to shore. Hether is looking back at the Infinity and wondering why there is a huge red arrow pointing to our stateroom balcony.

▼  The sign says it all.

▼  Hether and Infinity.

▼  St Michael's Russian Orthodox Church was in use from 1842 to 1969.

▼  In the Sitka Marina, we saw a Bayliner Bristol, similar to ours. This one has one serious heater on board judging from the stack.
